Maps are fascinating. They can tell you so much about an area, tell you where you are or help you get where you’re going. But some maps are more a work of art than anything else, like today’s Friday Photo.
Most maps are two dimensional images, tacked up on a board of some sort, but this one is part map part sculpture. Sitting at the edge of the gallery concourse in front of the Scottish National Gallery, this copper map of the city centre is a beautiful representation of our home, but also a functional guide to those looking for where to go.
