Sunset at St Giles

St Giles

Following on from yesterday’s Commonwealth Games flags, today’s photo is something that has been around substantially longer. There are many times of day to take photos, but in the mid-summer sunset must be one of the most special. This was St Giles Cathedral on the Royal Mile last week as the sun was sinking behind the buildings, meaning only the top of the tower was catching the rays.

An Edinburgh native who loves discovering the new places and rediscovering old favourites, then taking photos and writing about it.
