Every year around this time the excitement starts mounting.
In 9 days – yes, JUST NINE DAYS! – Edinburgh will turn into one massive month-long party as the festivals start to get under way. This year the Fringe, by far the largest festival in town, will be running from the 1st to the 25th of August with some sources saying that for most of the month there will be over 1,000 shows playing every day.
But whilst all that seems still quite far away Edinburgh is undergoing a magical transformation. There’s a giant, upside down purple cow going up in Bristo Square and the Royal Mile is once again jam-packed full of visitors. Edinburgh Editor went for a stroll the other day and here’s what was to be seen. It’s all pretty exciting.
